My keyboard is not responding at all, the caps lock light doesent turn on and all my function keys aren’t working. My trackpad also does not function but i can still click and force click although nothing responds. I have a keybored and mouse connected that do function correctly although when disconnected the computer starts to search for any Bluetooth keyboard or trackpad/mouse. It shows up with a no drivers icon in the near top right of taskbar. I have tried to restart my computer and SMC reset, it didn’t work.
Then that’s pointing to a battery issue, What is likely happening is the battery is swelling up pressing on the cables. Haven’t seen this happen yet in the newer 2016 onward systems. Excessive online game play can overtax the power system. Lets check the battery, you’ll want to use a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse to gain enough control to do this. Once you have access download this gem of an app CoconutBattery take a snapshot of the main window and post it here for us to see Adding images to an existing question that should give us an idea where things stand. For now I would hold off pulling the bottom cover as soon as you do the pressure of the cover will allow the battery to expand quickly and it could rupture! If you can lets run the battery down as the less power stored then less fire risk.
