Chosen Solution
Ok so a few weeks ago my wife had a situation where she believes some Ramen noodles were spilled on my macbook, as well as it was possibly dropped. So when I turned it on my keyboard only has a few keys responding and the trackpad is not at all. So after following the instructions on ifixit I changed both of the parts and I still have the same issue. Not sure where to go with trouble shooting now
did you replace the upper case?
