Hey all, After using my computer for a couple of minutes the keyboard and trackpad stop responding. I did the trick where you cool down the battery to see if it is the swelling issue, but it doesn’t seem to be. On this model it does not seem that there is a ribbon cable to replace for the keyboard, is this so? After restart, the computer will work for a few moments, but then after a few minutes, it becomes unresponsive. Can anyone please assist me? Thanks.
This model uses separate ribbon cables for the Keyboard & Trackpad. Here’s a good view of the connections. Jump to Step10 - 12 MacBook Pro 13" Unibody Mid 2012 Logic Board Replacement. Can you give us some background on what happened. As your symptoms imply you more likely a logic board issue.
