Chosen Solution

I noticed occasionally my keyboard would no longer be responsive. Sometimes rebooting would fix the problem, but it now no longer works at all. I can only type using an external keyboard. Hoping to find the connection on my motherboard and reattach it to see if it helps, or replace it as needed. Thanks.

@Brian Johnson What is the status of the keyboard as shown in Device Manager? To get to Device Manager in Win 10 (without a keyboard) click on Start - Settings - System - About - Device Manager (DM is under Related Settings - right side of page). When in Device Manager scroll down and click on the > symbol to the left of the Keyboards category - right click on the keyboard entry listed - Properties. In the General tab check in the Device Status box if it shows “This device is working properly” If there is a red cross next to the keyboard entry, right click - Uninstall device follow the prompts to let it do it, then restart the laptop and check if it works OK after Windows finds it and re-instals it again If a yellow exclamation mark, right click - Update drivers and follow the prompts. You need to be online to do this.

Well you can try the following. Restart the laptop.Check if it’s a hardware issue.Check your keyboard drivers and settings.Make sure you have the right keyboard layout.Plug in an external keyboard.
