Hello, I’ve noticed over the last few day that the keyboard on my MacBook Air Early 2015 isn’t lit up at all despite it saying it is on full when I press F6. This has come on suddenly. I’m assuming it might be a connection issue somewhere, especially if it is allowing me to alter the brightness settings for the keyboard but I could be wrong. When I press F5 and F6 it isn’t doing anything but presents as if it is changing the brightness. Any help and advice is appreciated! :) Cheers, James
Could be the cable has become dislodged. The cable for the backlight is beside the keyboard connector on these, between that and the battery. Before opening it up, and you’ve probably already done this, check that the ‘adjust keyboard in low light’ box in the keyboard settings in preferences isn’t ticked.
