Chosen Solution Im working on this SE, and the backlight works but no image or apple logo or anything shows up. From what I understand, the person was using the phone, left for like 5 minutes and when they returned, the screen was white, then it stopped working. The phone itself works fine, detected by itunes, vibrates, but no image. Ive tried a hard reset, a factory restore, the flashlight test to see if any image is showing, and swapping a known good screen on with no change....

Chosen Solution Has shattered screen not sure about lcd? power turns on and off, home button works etc i think camera works also, what parts do I need to attempt repairs?? the screen does operate properly dude to major cracks and breakage. Just of course doesn’t work sensitivity. thank you for any help and suggestion, ASAP would be greatly appreciated. UPDATE BY @captainsnowball this is an iphone 5s not iphone 5c!...

Chosen Solution I have a device that required a new screen and charging port due to damage to the home button. My issue is the device wont power up properly now. The battery is fully charged (3.8v while not attached to the device) yet will not power up without the charging dock attached. The voltage on the battery reads 0.7v when soldered to the motherboard. Has anyone had this issue, fixes or is the MB fried?...

Chosen Solution The connection on my Fairphone 1 has started to get a bit dodgy on the headphone socket - I have to play a bit with the plug to get it to work, otherwise sound carries on from the phone speaker or only in one ear. Is it possible to replace this part? I’ve just asked Fairphone a fourth time about this… I guess they both have trouble with understanding my English and that they really don’t want people to repair their phones themselves....

Chosen Solution Hi, when a macbook’s built-in iSight camera is activated, this is indicated by a green light right next to it. My question is: Can anyone confirm that this indicator light is hardwired e.g. with the camera’s power supply, so that it is by hardware impossible to use the camera without the light? (I sure hope so.) Or can the indicator LED be switched off by software? (Clearly, this is not intended and most probably would not be documented, but it could still be technically possible....

Chosen Solution I was having issues with the right joycon rail, and took it to a mall kiosk… They returned it saying that they couldn’t fix it… I opened the Switch and this is what I saw ;-; Has it been opened before you got it? Is the joy con working on that side? To replace the connector, it would need to go to someone who can micro solder. You may be able to get away with putting a piece of thin plastic, or paper in between the connector and flex cable to help make a better connection....

Chosen Solution It’s either that or some other board inside. The symptoms are looping endlessly trying to restart, freezes randomly, shows a glitchy mess when it freezes, screen dims on freeze, and the screen displays all blue. Where can I get replacement parts, and how do I install them? Adrian Knyff parts are virtually non existent. The processor as well as all other IC’s are not replaceable (unless of course one has the tools and the skills to reball and get the right processors etc....

Chosen Solution My vacuum can be pushed on my bedroom carpets but won’t push on living room carpet. I don’t understand. Also it’s making a loud schreaching noise. I just received my Dyson DC65 Animal Ball 2 vacuum last week. It works great on wood floors and low-pile rugs, but had great trouble on our thicker pile carpeting. Chosen Solution Today I dropped my phone in snow, my friend alerted me once she saw it. I picked it up as soon as I could. We were outside so there was not place to dry my phone. I ran into the school bathroom crying scared that my phone was broken or damaged. Chosen Solution Hey guys! I recently dropped my phone and now it wont turn on at all. Screen is not cracked at all. When it happened there was still light in the screen, but then the phone died shortly afterwards (Low charge) Haven’t been able to get the screen on at all since. I’ve connected it to my mac and it indeed recognizes that there is an iPhone connected. Checked both in “System Report” and it popped up as a phone connected when I set it in DFU mode....

Jordan Fryman its a great console and worthwhile fixing. You do need to remember that you have a device that is almost 40 years old ;-) I suggest that you make the effort and disassemble it completely and clean the board, card reader etc....

Hi Richbaby86, If you are using the first generation wired edition, it is possible that the headphones are powered by 2 AAA batteries. Follow the instructions here to replace them. If you are using the wireless edition, the headphones can be charged using any USB charger and a micro-USB cable.

USB ports ask for the password when I try to load software to correct the issue. im assuming youre talking about the ADMIN password when you try to access your router settings via a browser. There should be a physical reset button on the router, that resets the Admin name, and password to factory defaults....

Chosen Solution will any a1181 lcd assembly (top case, bevel, screen and camera) work in any other a1181? could I use an lcd assembly from a 1.83 with a 2.4? If the manufacturers part numbers (on the backs of the LCDs) match no problem… A1181 models can be Core Duo or Core 2 Duo processors. I believe the LCDs are indeed interchangeable but the Core 2 Duo have 3 antennas for the Airport Wifi, but the Core Duos use only 2 antennas....

Chosen Solution I have not used my HP pavilion dv7-405 for a couple of years due to frustration. When this computer is on nothing else can get wifi and everything is kicked off! Just having it on kills our entire network even when the wifi is off on the computer. Could you elaborate on the problem? This seems quite funny. ;d So when you turn on this laptop, it is completely taking down your entire home network, even if the wireless is disabled on the device?...
