Chosen Solution I have a sky box which distributes the signal to two TVs. I have just bought an LG TV and it is receiving the signal to the screen, however the SKY controller doesn’t work with the LG TV. The second TV is working perfectly with the SKY controller. Both infra red sensors are functioning ok, as I have swapped them over between TVs, but no luck with the LG....
Chosen Solution I installed a new SSHD after replacing the older HHD that had a SATA failure. When I rebooted with the new drive and ran a diagnostic hardware test, I get an error code 4sns/1/40000000:th00-9.000. I have been searching for a solution and have found a thermal sensor adapter on OWC and others have done a software workaround for fan speed. Any suggestions out there? I tried to press the backplate back to the screen but it won’t stick , even after closing the screen and press tightly to the housing, it still does not fit fully 100%, maybe around 80% ....

Chosen Solution I replaced the battery and I was able to restore it. I woke up in the morning and tried to test the iPhone again, it didn’t work. error 21 is a battery fault try the old battery and see if that works Tried that. Same thibg.
Chosen Solution The battery connector on my iPhone 6s logic board has partially snapped off. It presses back into place and the battery connector snaps into it solidly. Yet when connected I get no power, so clearly the connection isn’t there. I have a soldering station though I’ve never done microsoldering, or would this be possible to repair with a reflow? Sorry for the bad picture quality. You can replace it with a hot air machine....
Chosen Solution With the cellular being turned off as well as the background apps, I can still feel the heat from the phone. Also, there is thick case on it. Does someone have similar issue like mine? You could have a battery problem you should try to feel which part of the phone heats up and if you can repair it or give it into a shop.
Chosen Solution So i was changing the back glass by taking off all the glass which is super hard to take off, im not sure if i damaged the wireless charging pad or if I pressed to hard on the back , i think i pressed to hard right above the pad where the logo is, what do you think happened? please help I am sorry to say this, but Meta is not the place to ask that....

Chosen Solution i have a 6s here that had a small amount of liquid damage, it originally fried U3200 causing the camera and flash to not work, I have managed to bypass using a jumper wire from c3211 to fl3202, and the camera now works again. the other issue I noticed is it wont charge a battery, it will be prompted to boot when charger is plugged in, and even pop up saying “cable not suported” even though they’re official apple cables, but it wont have the charge icon in the corner, and battery % falls, tristar and tigris both look immaculate with no corrosion around them, I’m thinking of replacing tristar next, but wanted a second opinion on this one before i start replacing IC’s Many thanks!...
Chosen Solution my iphone 7 screen is black but the backlight is on after a screen replacement. when i first connected the flex cables the apple logo DID show and turn on but the screen itself wouldn’t swipe etc so i disconnected and reconnected with the battery disconnected and went to turn it back on but i got stuck on the apple logo and the creen went black but the backlight was on....

Now power button just blinks red and wont power on. Just now updating this message. Now the power light is blue, but nothing on the screens. I can enter to Fastboot but is Oem_Locked, habra algun archivo que pueda flash via “adb sideload” o alguna app que pueda usar to backup data from my android phone. if i try to start a shell via adb while the device is in recovery mode, i fail. the official firmware blocks the shell access in recovery....
Chosen Solution I am hoping to buy a new cord as mine is kinked and not working properly. IFIXIT doens’t offer parts for the Mac chargers. I personally don’t recommend replacing the cords as often times you can’t make the needed quality connections as they can in the factory. The cords the selves also have circuitry which ID’s them so you can’t just throw any cord on either. Bottomline is safer for you and your system just to replace the MagSafe charger....
Chosen Solution I have a samsung evo 870 4tb to replace my rotational 4tb imac hard drive. I have no kit but i think i need a caddy to hold the 2.5 inch drive. Question is do i need any additional cables and can i get them and the caddy from ifixit. I dont want the expensive all inclusive kit as i already have a drive and as I’m in the UK paying customs duty is entirely unnaceptible to me....

Chosen Solution My 2007 iMac recently started to reboot itself in the middle of the night. I turned it off, and in the morning it would not start- no chime, lights, nothing. I replaced the PSU. On first attempt it still wouldn’t boot, but after a few failed boot cycles it lurched back to life. All good for a few days. Then the random night time restarts began again. Now on startup, first 3diag leds light up momentarily (as does USB bus) but not 4th, fan spins momentarily then nothing....
