Chosen Solution I need to hard reset my phone but the volume button does not work, is there another way I can do it? Please? When you say hard reset you mean just to restart the phone right? Your best bet is to do a battery pull (disconnect and reconnect the battery) to work around not having the volume button functionality. If you don’t have the tools/expertise to do it yourself, I would take it to a repair shop....
Chosen Solution I plugd 12 volts into my headphone jack and now my phone discharges and minutes is there anywhere to fix the problem @markleegreen at best you will need a new battery. It is entirely possible that you have a few burned/failed components on your mainboard. You do want to check those out with a visual inspection. The biggest issue will be that there are no schematics for your phone available....

Due to the additional panel options (with many including SureView, so I’ve put a photo in this answer to quickly tell), these machines are bit trickier to source the parts on blindly, unlike the G3/G4. For the G3/4 you either had a crappy 768p TN panel, or a FHD IPS LCD (recommended). I have two of these G5 machines in production, so I’m familiar with how variable things can be in terms of the factory screen....

Chosen Solution Some background: I have an A1398 15’ MacBook Pro Mid 2012 which I bought second hand in January 2019. The seller described the machine has having poor battery life of not more than an hour. When I received the machine the design capacity of the battery was at 50% and the machine would always shut down at around 30% battery (the fans would stay on for a while but then turn off shortly after) and then display the battery flat symbol when the power button was pressed....
Chosen Solution I replaced the display on my iPad Air 3 with the i fixit screen, but for some reason there is about an inch wide streak down the middle of the screen that touch doesn’t work on, yet it works everywhere else. Any thoughts on what could fix this? Try reseating the connectors. If that doesn’t fix it then you have a defective screen or a damaged connector/ribbon cable. While you have it apart inspect the cables carefully and make sure the connectors aren’t bent....

Chosen Solution Is the battery plugged in or soldered? It is soldered to the board, as seen in the picture on step 12. Also, the battery uses a thin ribbon cable whose solder points are essentially holes through the ribbon cable itself, so it is difficult to solder but definitely possible (I’ve done it before). Its definatley soldered however I am trying to source a new battery anyone know where to get one?...
Chosen Solution Gray lines keep appearing on my phone screen. They show up for half a second then disappear again for some time. It’s more frequent when I turn my phone horizontaly and it’s very noticeable when I’m watching videos. The lines are some times very thin when my phone screen is horizontal but when it’s in a normal position they are somewhat wide and gray with black small black spots in them....
Chosen Solution Ifixit listing only shows it being compatiable with the US or the international version of the S8 but does it work with the W variant? It should be the same as the US variant right? I know Samsung has two different variants for the rear cameras on these phones. One made by Samsung the other by Sony. I would either order one of each camera, or open the device and look at the markings on the camera assembly it’ll either give you a model number or the name of the manufacturer....

Chosen Solution It will sit for a couple of days and will not crank why is that Battery is Dead Could it be one of the fuses history of the car and what we have done the car is a 2000 chevy cavalier it has aftermarket cd player that stopped working thats the only aftermarket device in there. we have replaced the battery and connectors and starter and alternator and yet when it sits a day or two then the car is dead and have to jump it off after the initial jump off then drives fine....
Chosen Solution I’ve just replaced the existing HDD (Samsung 1TB) with a SSD (Crucial MX100 512GB). At the same time, I’ve also boosted the memory going from 8 to 16GB. I also replaced the stickers around with the iFixit kit. Everything when fine, even though it was not easy work. On the first start, everything worked perfectly. RAM was recognized and SSD too. But after a couple of minutes, the fan started to go crazy and I honestly didn’t feel a great change in the way the iMac was performing....
