Chosen Solution Hello i have bought a water-damaged iphone 5. I soaked it in isopropyl alcohol and removed all corrosion. I had then re-assembled it and replaced the battery. The phone turned on and went onto lockscreen fine. About 10 mins later it turned off while i was charging it (charging port did work) and then contionusly kept going onto apple logo, then turning off again and then back to apple logo....

Chosen Solution Sometimes I can get the phone to boot and work normally but most of the time it just gets stuck at the apple logo. Its so weird because the home button does respond with the vibration. The phone gets hot if I dont hard boot it until its off. Ive tried doing a restore, didnt help. Maybe internal ic damage? Which one? You guessed right, internal ic damage....

Chosen Solution Hello, i recently replaced the battery in my iPhone X. After that i can not charge wireless. Wired charging is working fine. Does anyone maybe now, what i could have damage? I would check to make sure that the wireless charger is connected to the board. Sometimes people accidentally damage the charge coil itself because it’s located under the battery so if they wedge some sort of pry tool under the battery it can damage the coil....
Chosen Solution My Ipod Classic 4 g new battery will not charge. The battery may be faulty or the charging port. I would suggest clean the battery connector with isopropyl alcohol. If that does not work you may have a faulty battery. To see if you do try placing the original battery and see if it charges. If the original battery charges and you bought the new battery from ifixit then email support@ifixit....

Chosen Solution There’s a little metal retaining tab on the logic board under the SSD on the A1398 boards, which is broken off on my machine. I had to cut it to get the board out because the Apple repair tech who did my last battery replacement stripped out the screw. I’d like to know if that is electrically part of the board or just a physical retaining clip… I guess it could be some sort of grounding screw (although grounding to aluminium makes no sense I guess)....
Chosen Solution I have a Lg v30 that the screen is broken to $@$* and the IMEID number is black listed . currently im using a Lg stylo 4 is it some how possible to take the processor and the ram and put it into my stylo 4 ? like can i take certain mother board circuit board chips and put it into another phone? Chosen Solution My Kenmore french door fridge is not making/dispensing ice. The model has the ice/water dispenser on the left door of the fridge. The water still dispenses fine. Any remedies? a couple issues may cause this Condenser for the ice tray may not be cooling the water Electrical panel may not be powering the condenser, Water may not be dispensing into the ice tray. Chosen Solution I have watched Every video every guide and cannot get the last piece in for the new rubix cube As you probably have seen in the videos and the guides, standard procedure is to build up the cube until only one edge piece (which has two faces) is left. Then turn the top layer 45 degrees and push in the remaining piece. This requires some force, especially in new cubes....

Update (10/31/2022) Can I receive another power cast to replace it? @jlmitchell You did not really give us a lot of information about this case. Maker/model number would be great. Anyhow, most of those case have either a battery that charges separately or capacitors that prevent the power when needed. Since it got water damaged you would have to try and disassemble it, clean it with some isopropyl alcohol, check components for damage and replace the battery....
Chosen Solution My Sansui 550 Classique amp will not turn on, just humming sound and we have blown multiple fuses. Now even when replacing the fuse we get nothing. We’ve checked the speaker wires. Receiver turns on. Amp shorts out after a crackle-hum sound. any advice for repairing this? If it’s a pretty old amp (which it is), there’s a good chance some of the capacitors in the power circuit (and likely everywhere inside) have gone bad....

So from the 1 single video I have found for repairing the keyboard, the person said that the battery needs to be removed. But, he was also replacing the trackpad for the owner so if I only need to replace the keyboard, is that necessary?...

However, I am currently using a patched version of Catalina and because of this I cannot boot into recovery mode and enable my computer to boot from my USB drive. Chosen Solution I just did a front display assembly install and everything works fine (camera , touchID, vibrate , buttons, no dead spots etc..) except the following: It looks like the top edge is not completely flush with the metal frame like the other edges. When I gently push the glass from either top corner to try to make it flush, the screen goes black (while device remains powered-on) . In other words, I only get a picture when the top edge is not flush with the frame....
