Chosen Solution Hi, I had a douche tip a beer on my MacBook in an airline lounge and all seemed to be working so I let him off with buying me another beer. A few days later all the keys started sticking so I attempted to remove a few to clean them with alcohol and then had to buy a few replacement buttons. I’m sure all who have tried before me will attest to the new butterfly mechanism being a PITA so after it got worse and worse I ended up just buying a whole new keyboard....

Chosen Solution I ran over some roots that I didn’t see, the engine started sputtering so I shut off the blades, now my engine sputters under load, ill pull the choke out for about 30 seconds and push it back in then the engine will run fine for a min or 2 then it starts all over again, any info will be helpful, and I only have 80 hours on the engine...

Chosen Solution When I woke up this morning my phone was on the charger and already stuck on the android screen. I have already booted it in safemode, did a factory reset and clear all cache files. I don’t see any other options on there…. Help!!!! @carolnlanglais ,Carol, You have already tried what normally should have solved you issue, Just a thought remove your SD card and battery,wait 30 min’s., reinstall battery and try powering up, then power off and install SD card and power on....

Chosen Solution Just an FYI, the iFixit iPhone app shows two guides: one for a “Rear Camera Replacement”, and this one, for “Rear-Facing Camera Replacement”. DO NOT use the other one! It is much less detailed and did not mention anything about severing the ribbon cables for the capacitive button lights… lesson learned the hard way. It could be anything really. Did you drop it at all? Anything that would indicate physical damage? It could also be a bad battery…maybe. Sony is a good brand,and their batteries are higher quality controlled. But it’s still possible that it went bad....

Nope not possible different screw holes for motherboard different internals I’ve a burned out motherboard in a 5 and a blocked 5C would motherboard from 5C fit ‘in place’ just to use in the house for AirPlay it won’t be getting knocked around etc just to make an iPod touch outa the parts saves them sitting doing nothing and saves my batter on i6 lol

Chosen Solution Do you have a repair manual?Do you sell the dock connector and is it true that it installs without soldering? @s1000_xr, The only guide this far, is the teardown, no one has made other guides for it just yet. The iFixit store has a few parts listed for that device, but not a lot.

Chosen Solution Hi, I have an iPhone 6 that had contact with water. I used alcohol to clean all connectors and brushed areas that had corrosion and the phone works now. The water seemed to enter from the top, since I found no trace of corrosion near the bottom. Everything functions properly except the speaker. If I raise the volume past the halfway mark it cracks and goes mute. A reboot resolves the issue until I raise it again....

Chosen Solution First there was no backlight and only LCD worked. The backlight diode was totally burnt and coil was cracked a little on top. Also capacitor (C1505) was shorted. So I replaced all of them, diode, coil and that one capacitor. And after replacement now the lcd also not working and no backlight. My first question is: when I installed new coil there wasn’t that little dot on top of it (on that new one) so does it matter which way I install that coil?...

Chosen Solution Hi i recently bought a faulty IPhone 6 off ebay. It was described as beong “dead” upon recieving the phone i hooked it up to a usb Ammeter and it was drawing 0.00a. I changed the battery and charging port and was still getting 0.00a on the Ammeter Next stage i changed the Tristar IC . The phone switches on with the power button but will not boot up with a usb cable or get recognised by itunes....

Chosen Solution After fixing a broken screen the home button no longer clicks when fitted to the iphone. The clicking mechanism still works if I press it without shield over it. When I switch phone it works out of case also including touch ID. Tried loosing the screws - but doesn’t make a difference. Feels like the shield should be further down to make better contact, however all photos of the repair show what I’ve done looks correct....

Chosen Solution Hi. I´m wondering if the iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 has identical earpiece speaker. Can I use the earpiece speaker from an iPhone 7 on an iPhone 8? After doing some research they are not compatible. You could try tho, only thing that would happen is there will be no sound what so ever. What about the loudspeaker? Can I straightly put iPhone 8 Plus loudspeaker into iPhone 7Plus socket?...

Chosen Solution I took the battery out of 2 of my iPhone SE’s to replace the powerbutton/volumebutton etc. everything did go nice and smooth as usually. But now they are BOTH in bootloop. I can’t think of any cause.. the only thing I can think of is that I bent the battery’s a bit, because both of the adhesive let loose :(. Could this be my cause? Because then i will just get some new battery’s....
