Chosen Solution So I dropped my iPhone X. it turns on and shortly after the display turns on with the Apple logo, the screen goes black. I have narrowed the problem down to the earpiece, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and flood illuminator as a whole. My question is, has anyone seen this problem before? And is it possible to fix this on my own? You’re most likely not going to be able to repair it on your own, at least without loosing FaceID functionality....

Chosen Solution My cousin was using my ipod and she said it won’t turn on. She then told me that she took it to the cellphone store on the corner and the guy said the jailbreak was messed or something. I told her to bring it back because im not paying 50$ if that’s the problem. I brought it backed and tried to put it into DFU mode but it just won’t turn on at all....

Chosen Solution My Seagate 1Go hardrive is broken (fall on the ground). I did some search and for a problem like I have, they talk about a price of 900 minimum. This is a bit too expansive so I am looking for some tools (maybe here at the shop), product and tutorial so I can do the repair my self. Is anyone can help me with that ? Thank you....

Chosen Solution On the repair guide (iPad Mini 2 LTE Front Panel Replacement), is the repair really “difficult”? It seems like it should be pretty easy. What makes it so hard (take a screen off, put a new one on)? If it helps, I would buy this part (iPad mini 1/2 Screen Digitizer) I wouldn’t say its very difficult personally, but it can be if you haven’t done it before. Make sure that you are opening it up from the correct side and don’t tear the cable as you open it up....

This is a dual 100k potentiometer Hi @vyengr I was unable to find an equivalent drop in replacement using the part number that you supplied, but the following info may help. As volume controls are usually a logarithmic type potentiometer, here is a 2 gang 100K Ohm log pot that may be suitable. Here is a 2 gang 100K Ohm ‘’linear’’ pot if that is what is needed....

Chosen Solution The brew-switch on my K10-Mini does not always change to flashing red (stays flashing blue) when I push it. Pushing multiple times normally solves the problem, but it is getting worse. The machine is two years old and brews one cup per day on average. Sounds like you might need to descale your machine. Crap builds up inside the boiler and prevents correct operation. If you have your manual it will describe how it is done....

Chosen Solution Hi, So after working for 9 years flawlessly my mid 2011 iMac has black screen. The computer works fine because I have an external monitor attached to it and I am able to mirror the displays and use the external monitor. What do you think is the problem, I want to try and fix it myself? Chosen Solution I replaced the starter on Tuesday but I’m still having issues. It’s still struggling to turn over and when it does the gauges on the dash twitch back and forth and make some type of noise before acting normally. It’s hard to describe the noise. What else could the issue be? Before I replaced the starter when it wouldn’t start at all, I still had all power in the truck....

Chosen Solution To be more specific, it sometimes does charge inexplicably, but it takes around 20 minutes just to get 4% more charge, then it loses charge for no reason! When it does charge, it doesn’t show the lightning bolt! I got the charger cable and it said it worked on both iPhone 5 and iPhone 6, it didn’t say anything about iPhone 5s but I just ignored that fact because it’s almost the same thing as an iPhone 5....

Chosen Solution I cracked my phone and it cracked the glass over my front camera, so now my camera doesn’t work, if i get my screen replaced will it fix my front camera too or will i have to get a new front camera put in too? Yes, a screen repair should take care of that, if it’s just a crack on the Glass causing it. Yes, it comes in one piece, at least most of the time....

Chosen Solution so i was trying to fix an ipad2 with cracked screen, after digitizer replacement the power button would not work. so i heard the power ribbon cable could be damaged. i replaced the ribbon cable twice with 2 different cables but power/volume buttons just will not work. any one have any idea? Did power and volume work before you worked on it? If so, it has to be the power flex....

Chosen Solution I had a technician replace the screen on an iPad mini 5 recently and the device came back because the home button was not functioning properly. The technician proceeded to replace the screen again and it was working before he laid the screen down flush into the frame. Now it’s not working again and I’m going to be opening this device to see if it could’ve been two defective screens or maybe a torn home button flex but I was just wondering if anybody has come across this issue and if so, do you know of any solutions if it is not the screen or home button?...

Chosen Solution Ipad Pro storage was full but initiated an automatic update. Device didn’t actually have enough storage space to successfully complete the update, and is now stuck in a boot loop. Wish I could tell you what update it was. Ipad pro is stuck on the restore screen, with a cord pointing to a computer and the text “support.apple.com/ipad/restore” above. Tried using different button combos to reboot to no avail – always returns to this screen....

Chosen Solution I lost one of the rubber spacers that goes between the metal shield and chipset, it is the one located on the front side of the phone towards the bottom, approximate size 3/16"x1/4" (alternatively the opposite side but similar location as the Qualcomm chip). Will not having this affect the phone’s function? What are these rubber spacers for anyways? I’m guessing conducting heat away from the ship to the heat shield?...

Chosen Solution Hi Everyone, I just got my battery from iFixit and swapped my iPhone 6’s battery, did a drain and full charge. After the full charge I tried plugging my iPhone to various chargers and now it is only charging at around 0.8-0.95 amps. I am using an usb amp meter to see the amps and here are the things I tried: Used 3 different certified mfi cables (2 of them are Anker) both charge iPad mini 2 at around 1....

Chosen Solution My Iphone SE 2020 keeps restarting due to thermalmonitord and i cant find out what is wrong with it full crash report loghttps://docs.google.com/document/d/1Xz_s… The thermalmonitord sensor your log is referring to is mic 1 which is located on the Lightning Connector Assembly and will restart every few minutes if the CPU cannot communicate with the sensor. This part is not that difficult to replace but make sure you purchase a replacement from a reputable supplier....

Chosen Solution I believe (hope) this is not an Iphone problem, but my WIFI or router problem. Recently my phone will not connect to my home wifi. When I bring up the available networks, a message comes up and says “cannot connect to Belkin 404” which is my router. My laptop is still hooked up to the wifi, and I get wifi signals on my phone elsewhere. But I don’t even have the option to re-enter my router password or anything....

Chosen Solution Hi everyone, I have replaced the screen on my iphone 5, and now it is constantly stuck to “searching”. Even if I remove the sim card, I don’t get a “no sim inserted”, but still a “searching”. I coudn’t push the screen all the way in on the top side as the frame is bent. Could it be that it’s not working because of this (maybe something is not making contact)?...

The replacement screen linked here is an aftermarket screen: iPhone 6s Screen Though that should not be an issue, because iFixit aims to provide high quality replacement parts and will provide a guarantee with lifetime warranty on their screens. For me, original is when you take a screen from another iPhone that has the original screen. OEM or Aftermarket High Quality is what I aim for....
