Chosen Solution I replaced my keyboard and battery (parts from ifixit). Tested along the way and everything was looking good. But when finally finished it the keyboard doesn’t work. The step where it starts to fail is when I put the trackpad cover back on, even before I screw it down. Maybe it doesn’t like being bent down? Everytime I remove the trackpad cover to test it works. Other thing to note is the zip connector for my keyboard is broken (the little plastic lock)....

Chosen Solution I dropped my laptop and it caved the metal into the usb port so that I can not plug anything into it. Can this be fixed by bending the metal back? Yes that can be repaired. A custom jeweler has the skills to take it out and the tools to help bend and burnish it out. It may work but will never look like new.

Chosen Solution I attached a schematic of a circuit I am troubleshooting. In red, I have marked where I should be seeing 1.6V on the negative side of two capacitors, but I am getting 0V. What would cause this to happen? The capacitors themselves are good, the + side is getting the appropriate voltage, but I am not getting the 1.6V on the - side. thank you in advance for your help!...

Chosen Solution I didn’t use my ipod for a long time and when i did it asked to reformat and I did not do it and know it has a red X on the ipod and my computer won’t see it. can you help me to fix it please or how to do it a red x on an iPod normally means you hard drive has failed, try formatting it in windows and then doing a restore in iTunes....

Chosen Solution I replaced hard drive with SSD in 2019 without having the Thermal Sensor Adapter. I have it now and want to know if the installation process changes for me installing it into my imac 27 2010. Do I need to reset any of the SMC or prams? Any other input welcomed. The 2014 models onward don’t need the in-line sensor when running High Sierra or newer which is why your newer 2019 didn’t need it, but your older 2010 will....

Chosen Solution I’m permanently locked out of my tablet because I typed the wrong access code too many times what do I do? When you say access code, you mean the login password? If this is the case, I only know one way how to do this and thats doing a factory reset. I would look it up more but if you can’t figure it out, just factory reset it, enter your google acc back on there and just download everything back, unless there stuff on there really important....

I think I got a dud Try to re-seat the connectors and inspect them along with the cables while you have it apart. Take some pictures of the assembly and the cables for your records and file a warranty claim with ifixit....

Chosen Solution My problem is due to a 27-inch iMac Late 2012 Quad Core Processor 2.9, was replacing the HDD of this machine, the Mac I then lit the job done. Shut down your Mac and try to light again but this no longer wanted to turn more. I have tried to make it on again, and change the power supply, replace the battery of Mother Board, Remove all electronic parts and place in anti-static bags but the iMac does not react....

Chosen Solution About a year ago my iMac started restarting on its own. Thinking it was the HDD I swapped it with an SSD + HDD (a new one) setup. Everything went well until a couple of months ago when it started restarting on its own once again. Sometimes it will work perfectly, while others it will just keep restarting until I uplug the cable. Chosen Solution I have been successful in repairing many iphones over the past months. Screen and battery replacements, power and volume buttons, etc. I did a routine screen replacement on my son’s iphone 5 last night and reconnected everything. Worked beautifully. He plugged it in before going to sleep and woke up and it was dead. (Battery was replaced a few months ago.) Now when you plug it in to charge it doesn’t vibrate and just shows the red battery and cord images on screen…but never charges....

Chosen Solution I have an iPhone 6 that recently stopped connecting to the cell network. I’ve exhausted every option I can find and have ultimately been told the phone needs to be replaced. All other functions of the phone work perfectly (bluetooth, wi-fi, etc). Every once in a while I will try the sim card in it again and it will work for a very short amount of time and then stop again....

Chosen Solution I bought an iPhone 6 off eBay that needed a new screen. I replaced the screen and it turns on and when plugged in iTunes it shows up, but the screen still doesn’t show up. I would agree that it sounds like the backlight filter. You will have to have someone who can micro solder replace the filter for you unless you have the tools and expertise. Good Luck...

Chosen Solution Hi. My iPhone started to bootloop after I paused the download for the new software. I already did simultaneously holding the volume down and on/off button on the side. The support.apple.com/iphone/restore appeared (which I think is the dfu mode). I did what it asked, connected it to my itunes on pc, the “There’s a problem with the [your device name] that requires it to be updated or restored.” appeared, I updated its software but still on the bootloop....

Chosen Solution After trying to do a housing transfer, the phone got put in a boot loop, but only whenever the charging port was plugged into the logic board. Whenever I try to use it on a charged battery without it plugged in, everything seems to work fine. I’ve already tried one or two different charging ports and I’m getting the same issue. Not sure whether I’m not plugging it in right or if I’ve damaged the logic board itself since I’m very new to repair....

Chosen Solution I have an iPhone Xs which is in perfectly good condition. But for some reason the touch screen does not register my fingertips on the screen. The screen is perfectly fine aside from micro scratches. I haven’t dropped it to the point that can affect this kind of damage. I wanted to ask if it’s just the digitiser or the the whole OLED screen, cause the screen has no defect, it’s only the input that has the problem....

Well with a bit of common sense, you will realize its not the Charging IC itself that has gone bad. It is some other small component on the charging IC line that is causing it to heat up....
