Chosen Solution My iphone has been water damaged (dropped in water for less than a minute). I’ve threw in a bowl of rice for days but It was diplaying no service and won’t let me make any calls/txt at all. The front and back camera are water damaged too I assume because they won’t work. Weird thing is that it still reads wifi, charges, plays music, vibrate, etc. I recently replaced the front and back camera and the proximity sensor, windexed/wiped the metal parts and double checked too but it’s still not working....

Chosen Solution I replaced my iPhone X charging port assembly. Everything connected to the assembly works.(ie. Taptic, Loud speaker) when i plug in lightning headphones into the phone they work perfectly. When i try to connect the phone to my computer or charge it with a lightning cable, It doesn’t charge. I did replace the battery with a high capacity one as well along with the charging port but that isn’t the issue I don’t think because wireless charging works and it is what I’m currently using to charge the phone....

Chosen Solution So i dont have a case for my ipod and i have drop it many times, it never cracks. But it screen is poping out at the side and i can see a little light. What should i do? You should get a case for one thing another try GENTLY pushing it in and using adhesive

Chosen Solution Where is the Gyro sensor in the iPhone 6s? Can it be replaced/repaired for a reasonable amount of money? The Health app does not register steps. Apple says this is the reason. Thanks John lang as for the gyro you find it marked with the yellow square InvenSense MP67B 6-axis Gyroscope and Accelerometer Combo (also found in iPhone 6) this may just be a task for @refectio Definitely the gyro....

The battery may need to be replaced, do you have somewhere in baltimore, maryland that could do any needed repairs @billwrw845390 in general ifixit does not offer repairs. Here you can get free advice and help on how to fix your own device. We also like to try to stay away from make any referrals since those are very subjective....

Chosen Solution I have 09 jetta with short shifter. It has the 2 ends on top with the torx heads at the ends of linkage. But it also has the spring clip with the 3 fingers on both cables on a bracket that connects to the other cables . From there on to the shifter. All bushings are good. Got just a little tough going in 1st and 2nd . I was having a mechanic doing something else....

Chosen Solution I recently got an XBox controller, and its joystick was drifting on the Y axis. I bought a new one on eBay and tried to solder on a new one. This was my first time doing this, so I don’t know if I did it correctly. Now the controller doesn’t read the Y axis at all. Is there still hope for this controller? @jkcoxson since this happened after you repaired it you want to check a few things....

Chosen Solution Keyboard. the letter between L & N will not show when key is depressed Seems like there might be something preventing the keys being pressed under the key. Try removing the keyboard and giving it a good clean with compressed air just to see if that’s the issue. Chosen Solution so I’m a dumb dumb and totally broke the clamp on my keyboard ribbon cable connector. I have tried the tape solution with no luck, the whole connector is just crap now. I did purchase a replacement clamp, but it is only a replacement for the front half ( see pictures) has ANYBODY had luck soldering off the front portion of the clamp and replacing it?? if so I would love pictures or videos or just really detailed instructions!...

Chosen Solution So I was cleaning my keyboard with a Clorox wipe and the keyboard started repeating and eventually stopped working. I read online to pour distilled water in order to release the chemicals and let the laptop dry off. Now the keyboard completely does not work anymore. Trackpad and power button are both fully functional and I am also able to connect an external keyboard in order to use it....

I’ve been trying to reset this tablet by trying to wipe it clean with everything I seen on YouTube etc and still can’t get any results. I get the Android with the red sign in the chest area. With that one if I remember correctly you have to toggle the lock button back and forth while holding the volume down button and press the power button....

Chosen Solution in any paint program….drawing with my finger….its not actually laggy …but i get crooked,angular, jittery lines all the time except for straight lines…..somehow (do i need a new capacitive touch screen?) some how curves arent registered properly within these programs….otherwise the machine works fine …including using the screen for normal functioning…… Consider getting a stylus. Few people can draw a straight line on a touch screen due to it being too slippery to keep your finger on track....

I have seen the fuel lines go bad over time and have a pin hole in it that causes issues with the fuel feed. It’s usually a pin hole in a fuel line, primer bulb, and sometimes there is one in the diaphragm. It could also be a bummer up carb....

Chosen Solution Hi, I replaced the display assembly of an iPhone 5. Everything seemed perfect, until I noticed that the screen was responding to my finger hovering 1 centimeter above the screen. Chosen Solution So the little tip for the charger, yeah it got pulled out. Any Ideas on how to fix it? I’m assuming the tip of the charger is stuck in the charge port. If you’ve got a pair of fine tipped tweezers or even a set of metal dental picks you should be able to retrieve it. If not, call around local repair shops and ask if they offer charge port cleaning or removal....
