Chosen Solution Hi guys, I have an iPhone 6 Plus here, classic touch IC problem. As usual I replaced meson IC, did the M1 jumper, however it still had no touch. I then replaced Cumulus IC, again no touch. Upon further investigation, I found PP5V7_SAGE_AVDDH line has problem. I tested the line using diode mode, C2414 & C1577 have very low reading: 0.05v. The line is almost shorted (but not fully shorted)....
Chosen Solution iPhone 6s v10.2.1 won’t charge in airplane mode. The charging symbol shows but the percentage doesn’t increase. I don’t think it’s just failing to update the percentage because once I turned off airplane mode, the percentage started at the point it was at and started increasing at the usual rate I expect. I restarted the phone a couple of times which had no impact. Not a huge issue but I now have to remember to fully charge before getting on the plane...
Chosen Solution Did anyone fix the old iPhone 3GS. I know its old but mine was still functional until I tried to change the battery… and this pad split and part fell off. It is a metallic fabric-like silver pad beside connector 4. It is clearly visible as a rounded cornered rectangle about 1cm by 0.5cm, adjacent to connector numbered 4 in the ifixit teardown (pls see link below). It left a layer in place but shed a layer, looks metallic, what fell off conducts electricity, so I presume it is important to re-attach it for heat and/or electricity?...

No. It won’t fit and the phone is not set to run an lcd screen. They will eventually come up with a cheap LCD screen but it can cause the cables to melt, the connections on the motherboard to melt and short the board....

Chosen Solution I’ve performed open heart surgery on my beloved Nexus 4 today and changed its motherboard, because it randomly crashed when it ran on battery and the level reached a certain threshold. Also, I broke the battery connector when trying the cheap solution and putting a new battery in. Now that I’ve successfully repaired my phone instead of just buying a new one, just as the Repair Manifesto tells us to, I wonder what to do with the old motherboard....

Chosen Solution Just replaced the trackpad (and battery and a couple of other parts). Now the trackpad will not click. I can set it to tap to click which works just fine. It is a new battery. Must admit I left the plastic sheet over the tape on the battery so it is not glued in. That does add a bit of thickness but seems secure enough. The metal plate is bowed a bit but don’t think it would affect the trackpad....

Chosen Solution MacBook Pro 13" 2009 A1278 I have a sound problem in where it doesn’t output sound, the sound displays crossed out. The original problem was the speakers had a crackle sound , I then replaced the speakers L/R. When I restart the the MBP, I do hear the Apple chime once but the sound appears to remain disabled. You will have to give us your complete model and make sure that you have access to a multimeter in case you will have to do some checking. It will also help if you take the back off your TV and check the boards for anything obvious like domed or leaking capacitors....
Chosen Solution And putting back my shark vacuum model number nv46 - 26 swivel I cannot figure out where to place my two rubber seals. There are 2 different sets of rubber seals. The first set is for the motor to reduce noise and vibration. It fits into the top lid and bottom underneath the motor. The other set is for the roller brush. On each end of the roller brush are foam type seals to prevent hair from getting inside the ball bearings....
