Chosen Solution Today i replaced the home button and cable on an iPhone 6 actually the problem was home button was unresponsive only. Now fitting the new cable to the phone i found i couldn’t get the phone to turn on and only disconnecting and reconnecting the battery after refitting the original cable got the phone is still unresponsive. Usually the screen connectors on the board get damaged if not plugged in properly. Otherwise it would be defective screens (either they come faulty or the ribbon cable from the screen gets damaged from bending)....

Yes you can buy a microUSB port from a trusted seller and there are also YouTube tutorials on how to fix it After dissasembly, check battery too if you have multimeter. They dont like be discharged for long.

Hi Alex, My personal vote would be no, don’t use regular double-side tape. While it will get you through this repair and most likely be satisfactory for continued use of the machine, it’ll be nothing but headaches the next time you need to remove the battery....

Chosen Solution Device got wet and now the device doesn’t power on @gouda just like any other water exposed device you want to follow some simple rules. To start with stop trying to turn it on or to charge it. Remove the battery. then disassemble your device completely. Clean every part with a high grade (90%+) isopropyl alcohol. Do not forget to remove the EMI shields on the motherboard. Clean all the connectors as well....

I plugged it in to charge overnight, and now it shows 2 white lights as its charging status. I tried different cords, but no lights flash indicating that it is charging.
