Chosen Solution My Surface laptop only flashes the Windows logo when it tries to boot. An external boot drive does not work so I assume it’s a hardware issue. Chosen Solution There is a small spot of corrosion. Can anyone tell me what this is ? This is more than likely the cause of your keyboard issue. This little board here is responsible for keyboard and trackpad functions, both of which are transmitted to the logic board itself via the cable you see that curls into the hole here and connects to the underside of the trackpad. The big wide flex cable to the right of it is for the keyboard itself....

Chosen Solution Letters a thru l are showing up 1 thru 9 how do I fix it I would suggest you check your ’language’ settings on the task bar. I have multiple ’languages’ installed due to being in Canada. Ocassionally, for no seeming reason it will flip over to another language. Guess what, the mapping does a number on what you expect to pop up. Check this first and foremost every time something odd comes out of your keyboard....

Chosen Solution That’s all can you help me It is hard to get the password from a computer without getting an email sent to you. You said it was an iMac? If so you will have to take it to an Apple store or mail it in for them to recover the pictures and stuff like that… hope this helps you. Depending on the model, sometimes you can bypass a boot password by taking a stick of ram out or adding a stick of ram and holding down cmd+option+p+r and let it chime twice....

Chosen Solution The connector cable for the “thermal sensor connector” broke as I was disconnecting it. How can I replace this part? There isn’t a thermal sensor built per se. The Thermal sensor is built into the Hard Drive itself and is wired through the Power Cable. I’m assuming you are getting high fans soon after booting? If so there is something you can do to fix it. You will have to purchase a specific cable and run it inline with the hard drive power cable....

Chosen Solution I Finally did it after experimenting for months with broken screen assemblies that i had from repairing many iphones. The LCD still works and is not cracked or damaged the only thing i still gotta critique is how to not get small scratches all over the lcd. Heres a picture to prove it! Sadly I have a real job too ;-} So all of these drives are SATA II (3.0 Gb/s) and you system is a SATA II system as well so you do have the correct drives for the system, so thats not the problem here. With the one of your drives connected via the USB port reference this Apple T/N to see if your systems firmware is up to date: About EFI and SMC firmware updates for Intel-based Mac computers it should be at this level or newer....

Chosen Solution hey something strange is going on. i did an iphone 6 touch ic repair and the screen was broken. first i tried to replace the screen with an aftermarket one. no image (there is a backlight) . so i checked the connectors (also the connectors on the board). the connectors are fine. so i took another screen and it dident work. i tested 4 screens. then i putted the original apple screen back on it....

The only problem is I can’t get the device to restore. At first the battery was bad because it held no charge so I got a new battery. This new battery upon installation allowed the iPhone 5 to power on but immediately shows the “Plug Into Itunes” recovery screen....
