Chosen Solution Hi, I recently purchased a battery replacement kit from ifixit and 4 days ago I replaced the battery on my mid 2015 macbook pro. The original battery was inflated and I didn’t want to risk it. I followed all the steps in the ifixit guide, including the steps to calibrate the new battery. Ever since, the new installed battery has been behaving oddly: It charges normally to 100% — I can see it progressing through all the percentages....

Chosen Solution I have scoured the answers here, and while I have found similar posts, mine is a head scratcher. I picked up a seemingly non working mid 2011 27” iMac with a i7 CPU version. Because it came with its original GPU in a ziploc bag, I knew that the prior owner had it replaced with a “working” model. Chosen Solution If I bought a new current gen i7 iMac 27” with SSD from Apple rather than Fusion Drive does this mean the conventional HDD space is open for my personal installation of a 3rd party 2.5” SATA drive (Samsung or similar)? I’m assuming the 1TB SSD option Apple is a blade SSD that mounted directly into the logic board is that correct? If you go to the online store iMac 27” and select the 1 TB SSD option your system will be configured with the Blade SSD iMac 27"3....

Chosen Solution The iMac powers up soon as it’s plugged in, but I can shut it down and restart it with the power button. So the button’s fine. When it’s in standby, I read 0 V on pin 4, 12 V on pin 11 and 4V on pin 13 on the logic board. On the PSU it’s 12 V on pin 4 and 4 V on pin 5. After it has powered up, all readings on PSU and Logic Board seem to be normal, except there is still 0 V on pin 4 of the Logic Board (I don’t know if that’s normal)....

Chosen Solution I have the 43S517 model TLC television. Since yesterday, I’ve had this issue where the image is squished upwards and it flickers on and off for a while, then goes back to normal. It would happen once in a while, but today, it’s almost happening constantly. I have tried factory resetting it and unplugging it. Chosen Solution The top corner of my laptop has cracked off, I am in need of the keyboard bezel that goes around the perimeter of the laptop when it is open. Any leads? With a careful choice of keywords you should be able to find a seller on eBay with HP laptop spares. For example, search for a replacement screen for your model and contact any seller you find to see whether they have more minor parts such as the bezel you need....

Chosen Solution Okay, so this all happened one night, when I was charging my iPhone 5S, like normal, and I had to do something and a family member noticed the phone was “very hot”. She unplugged the phone, and the phone would refuse to power on or charge. iTunes won’t recognize the device, and it gets very hot while charging. After leaving it for a bit, nothing happens. I have a strong feeling this is a battery issue, and 100% sure not a display issue, as the vibration sensor and speaker isn’t responding at all....

Chosen Solution A couple months ago, I had the screen replaced on my iPhone X by a local repair shop after it shattered from being dropped on concrete. Since having the screen replaced, the phone will shut off anytime it is dropped or even just jarred slightly. I have also noticed it will shut off if I lean up against something with my phone in my pocket. The only thing that will get it to turn back on is a force restart using the volume and power buttons....

Chosen Solution Got my rx100 fixed by an offical sony guy unoffically(without paperwork,for cheaper price). Claimed motherboard was changed but serial was same as before and all my settings are the same. So is the internal memory on the motherboard? if it is then I think i just got cheated… Update (08/31/2018) Btw I think serial number can be changed later by software, so maybe i didn’t get cheated if internal memory isn’t on the motherboard....

Chosen Solution Hello, Weird one this hope some one can help. I’ve got an old 2011 13” MacBook Pro had the screen repaired but the hd wouldn’t boot, replaced the SATA cable and the HDD boots, did clean install all works fine. Installed a SSD after initializing it via format as an external HD in disk utility. Preformed an internet recovery and started to install Lion (old) select the disk downloaded the OS then system reboots to start install only it doesn’t load in, at first I was getting the prohibited sign, so I tried a new tact by installing the OS on the SSD as an external device which worked and it was bootable, then when I put it back into the machine on boot I get the flashing folder icon and I cant boot in....

Chosen Solution There are no wifi settings showing Hi, If there is no option to turn the WiFi On or Off in the Settings area, you may have to reset the tablet. Be aware that by resetting the tablet, (also known as a Hard reset) all your data and downloaded apps will be erased. It will be like when you first bought it. Therefore it is important that you backup the tablet first before you perform the reset, so that you can restore it later if you wish to....

Chosen Solution Resetting~ done Using different cables~done. But none of the option, worked it just won’t charge, now it won’t turn on too . How old are they? I would say likely the battery went bad. Check if they are still in warranty if not, it might be hard to change and find a new battery for them. More than likely if it is not turning on and is not charging , and was previously working....

Chosen Solution and inserted it according to the directions I found online, but it is not showing on my storage screen nor have I been able to remove the card; what should I do? You cannot remove it? This might be part of the problem… SD card trays usually eject the card after being pushed in slightly. Try to remove and install again making sure that the card is not flipped upside down....

Chosen Solution I have an iMac 21.5” (Late 2009 - EMC 2308) which won’t boot; completely dead. I believe the PSU is dead. I am hoping someone can confirm/refute that conclusion. I searched for a pinout of the PSU but could find none. I followed the Apple Diagnostic workflow for “No Power; Dead Unit” with the following results at the Logic Board Test Points: Test #1 - Pin #1 -> Pin #4 - LED #1 lights and 12vdc is detected when plugged in Test #2 - Press PWR Button - LED #2 not lit, 0vdc at Pin #12 and no startup when power button pressed Test #3 - Disconnected power button and tested for continuity - continuity is present (also tried jumping PWR pins on logic board where button connects - same result) Test #4 - Pin #1 -> Pin #11 - 12vdc present, whether or not power button is pressed I conclude, from this, that the PSU is bad....

Chosen Solution My ipad2 just turns on, stays for around 3 minutes trying to turn on, then it turns off again, and goes back to trying to turn on, this only stops when I put it on DFU or recovery mode. I’ve alredy tried using Reiboot to fix this problem, as well as updating the OS trough itunes, restoring, factory reseting, as well as discharging the battery completly and trying to charge it again....

Chosen Solution I have an iPhone 6, I’ve added my bank card to the Apple pay wallet and have allowed Apple pay through the mobile banking app on my phone. When I visit an Apple pay terminal, double tap the home button and unlock the card with my fingerprint it will not scan at the terminal. I hold the phone directly over the Apple pay terminal but nothing happens. I have replaced the ‘NFC bracket interconnect flex cable’ which has a little blue capacitor underneath and is secured underneath the metal camera bracket....

Chosen Solution Hey so I’ve recently decided bought 2 ipod mini’s on ebay. 1 of them displays a folder icon whenever booted up and isn’t recognised by itunes or my computer. The other was a simple battery replacement job. Now whilst replacing the battery of the 2nd ipod mini, I swapped the hard drive disks to see if the icon problem was isolated to the hard drive. Both hard drives worked on the working ipod mini, meaning that the problem is not with the hard drive....

Please help ASAP Hi, try plugging it into your computer then press the home and on/off button together whiles iTunes is open, then your computer should make the connection sound it always makes when connecting a device, the iPod should then go into recovery mode and should work....
