Chosen Solution Hi Guys So, my Brother in Law gave me his old 6s plus, he said it wasn’t powering up, but if I could fix it I could have it. So following the guides on the site I replaced the Lightning Connector and Headphone Jack. This fixed that problem and the phone was able to charge. I was then able to perform a complete reset of the phone and set it up for myself....

Chosen Solution Hi, I replaced the battery of my iPhone 8. I have done this before so I made sure not to touch any other components. PROBLEM: The phone does not charge, it is stuck at 0% in service mode and keeps rebooting. I checked and all the components, mosfets and resistors are in place and not loose. I tried a second new battery and keep getting the same mistake. The battery connector looks fine....

Chosen Solution I recently had some issues with my jailbroken iphone 5 where the battery just wouldn’t last. The percentage would read 40% and just die. It eventually got to the point that the phone would die at 100%. A fully charged battery but still turn off after 5 minutes of use. Yesterday i changed the battery myself using an ifixit guide and success was had! Or so i thought! The phone turned on but only had 12% battery....

Chosen Solution I replaced the screen and battery off my iPhone 6s and it won’t turn on. It was working perfectly fine before but now all it does is the back flashes three times (flashlight) and vibrate twice. It stays in a completely dark screen. Unplug the battery, then plug the battery back in then turn on the phone. Shine a flashlight onto the screen and see if you see an apple logo on the dim screen, if you do you have a blown backlight circuit which requires micro-soldering to fix it....

Even when I only have the battery logic board and dock connector connected out with the housing I had a similar issue on a 5S a customer bought in for battery replacement a while ago....

Chosen Solution Hey, yesterday I finished restoring an iPhone XS Max that had a cracked screen and back. I replaced the screen with an original refurbished apple panel (works well), however used an aftermarket housing with small parts. In the end I noticed a lot of the small parts were badly installed, or were missing. I needed to transfer over the speaker mesh and grommets, button springs, Taptic Engine (due to paring), screws (LOTS were missing), button and wireless charging flex (as the included one was not soldered), flash flex, wifi antenna flex and the usual logic board, battery and FaceID components, and that’s just what I can recall....

Chosen Solution I really need help. I want to know what can be done with the cpu CPU and GPU upgrades may be possible on some laptops, but these will be harder. You’ll need to make extra sure to buy compatible components that will fit your laptop and be supported by its BIOS. Different CPUs and GPUs generate different amounts of heat, so your new components may generate too much heat for the fans and cooling solutions that came with your laptop to handle....

Chosen Solution I was working on my Macbook Pro and suddenly, a bunch of lines appeared on the screen. After multiple reboots, the problem still persists. After leaving the laptop alone for a few days, it started working fine again, but the issue has returned. I can plug in an external monitor and use my laptop, so its not a gpu issue. Plus, the display works sometimes, so the screen isn’t broken....

Chosen Solution Hello, I opened up my computer to clean out dust for the first time in a decade and I also removed the ODD because it’s no longer operating. Should I still keep the ODD fan installed or can I remove it? I don’t know if it is needed to cool other parts of the computer but I don’t want to put it in if it’s gonna over speed because of some error from the ODD being gone...

Chosen Solution It will also say, “ Battery Critically Low” when unplugged. Thanks. @carsarecool this could be a bad battery. I would suggest that you replace the battery first then re-evaluate. Good way of opening it and replacing the battery can be found on here

Chosen Solution My Asus laptop will only connect to my 2G wifi and not my 5G.. Why? Wrong term, you’re thinking of 2.4ghz band & the 5ghz Band. You’ll have to make sure your laptop is 802.11g & 802.11n compatible, as it may just have a incompatibility with the 5ghz and asides from that I’d vote for a reconfiguration on the router and to double check alot of that stuff.

Chosen Solution How to fix my Lenovo b50 keyboard Hi @babyface2177 , First plug a USB keyboard into the laptop to verify that the problem is with the laptop’s keyboard and that it is not another problem with the laptop. If the USB keyboard works OK then it is better to replace the keyboard than to try and fix it. You can create more problems than what you had if you try to repair it....

Chosen Solution I uninstalled my audio driver and now i am trying to reinstall it, but it says it can’t for some reason…something is blocking it from being able to reinstall. i have tried many things but still can’t get it to reinstall. I tried troubleshooting, going into audio driver, downloading audio driver and it won;t download complete. First, clear cookies, then temporary files, if possible then search entry of audio drivers in registry on finding them just delete the registry entry, after that look for the folder in system 32 folder entry with your audio driver name delete the complete folder or rename the folder, after completing you will be able to install sound driver....

Chosen Solution hi i bought the 64bit driver set to try and open up my 4s to replace the battery it only had 1 screw in it . i was using what i thought was a p2 driver bit but was in fact using a t2. i have tried methods with super glue but i fear i have already stripped the screw but cant get it out. is there anything i can do i dont fancy drilling it....

Chosen Solution i dropped my phone and screen has been white ever since Hello Mohagany, the white screen is a solid indicator that the LCD has been damaged and needs to be replaced. The LCD is only responsible for displaying an image on the screen, so if there is no image unusually there’s a problem with the lcd. You should go ahead and replace your lcd/digitizer with a new one to get the phone working properly again....

Chosen Solution It worked completely fine without trouble when I got it out of the water but when I got home I turned it off and put it on the charger. Later on (this morning around 7:00) it would stay on, didn’t make any noise even when I used the Bluetooth button to connect it with my phone it wouldn’t work and it still doesn’t make noise even when it turns on....

Chosen Solution I found this apple watch series 4 40mm in perfect shape like new and I wonder if someone now why is like that and if you can finde the parts because it has four holes for screws. This looks like an apple watch with the original 2 wrist buttons removed from the glass. i assume it means its been opened and tampered with possibly repaired. the location of those screws are odd though as in the IFIXIT tear down of the series 4, the screws would be facing towards the screen of the device and not the wrist....

Chosen Solution My 78 chevy k10 recently had a flat bed put on it and now none of the power goes to any brake lights and turns on all four corners Brandon Bauer, this is going to be a bit of a troubleshooting job. What it sounds like is that the wiring harness is not properly connected to the light assemblies. Trace the wires and connect them according to specs so that you gain their function back....
